MYHEALTH+

MyHealth+ is an online health portal for patients. MyHealth+ allows users to easily facilitate their own health care at home by viewing their current health plan provided from an in-doctor visit, messaging their doctors, scheduling appointments, refilling prescriptions, and viewing information from past visits.

UX DESIGN

For this project, I conducted user research, created user personas, created wireframes and interaction flow, and web screen mockups.

Problem

Many illnesses require daily treatment, which can be difficult to manage. Once the patient leaves the doctor's office, they are faced with limited resources to be able to properly manage their treatment, which can lead to health issues and unnecessary doctor visits.

User Research

To gain insight on our intended user's view on the problem, I created an online survey asking open ended questions about their current methods of health management and if they have any suggestions as to what would help them manage their health better. I learned:

1. About 25% of respondents have no issues with their current means of health care

2. The top suggestion that patients want to change is a way to speak to their doctor from home for quick questions, such as instant messaging.

3. All respondents would like a way to schedule appointments and order prescriptions online.

Wireframes + Interaction Flow

In our original design, we designed MyHealth to include all of user's primary care doctors. However, after reviewing user's feedback from our survey again, we decided that the main care patients need is from their physician and changed our website design to reflect that.
