
KIBBLE KRUMBLR
Kibble Krumblr is a sleek, modern addition to your smart home technology. This automatic pet food grinder and dispenser is designed for the young, on the go pet owner who cannot always be home to take care of their furry friend. Take one less stress out of the day by depending on the Kibble Krumblr to feed your pet, and track it's success away from home with the app.

For this project, I assisted in conducting market research and writing the executive report. I designed and developed the wireframes and mobile UI.
Research


Before we could develop a pet product, we needed to conduct research to get insight as to which direction we should head in--the internet was our best friend.

We found that the pet industry, the most popular trend is pet nutrition. More pet owners are choosing to purchase natural, organic foods over mid-grade.
​
More and more millennials are choosing not to have children and are instead owning pets. They are treating these pets as their own and are willing to splurge on them to provide the best care possible.
​
Product Design
Following the growing smart home technology and pet market trends, as well as our user's behaviors, we brainstormed and created the Kibble Krumblr.

Implementation
Our promotion plan for the Kibble Krumblr is to create advertising in an environment that millennials already pay attention to: the pet Instagram world.
​
An example of success is the BarkBox, a monthly subscription for toys and treats for dogs. Their primary source of advertising is through Instagram, targeting the top followed dog accounts and paying for promoted posts. In several years, BarkBox's company has gained a value of $150-$200 million. By following in this company's footsteps, we plan to be just as successful in years time.
